After sleeping like a log and then dragging myself out of bed - the previous few days had worn me out - I made my way to the train station early and to Borgo San Lorenzo.
Today's session was one I have been looking forward to - CV's and Jobs...
After stopping for a coffee at the cafe on the way to the school I arrived early and caught up with Mary and Nikoleta. They had late nights too and we were quite pleased today was Friday!
Kristin led the session today and it was all focused on CV writing and layout and job searching. Some really valuable information shared, especially around job hunting here in Italy. Kristin gave us a long list of websites and places where we could find information.
We looked over some CVs and talked about the good and bad points and got some great pointers in terms of what employers will be looking for. I had always thought my CV was quite good but it needs a lot of modifications before I can start applying for teaching positions.
After a break we talked about the exam we will be completing on Monday. There is a long list of things that will come up on the exam and I know how I am going to be spending my weekend! Revising! The exam will cover different areas of grammar as well as methodologies, task based learning, deductive and inductive methods, as well as many other things.
I am feeling ok-ish about it but I know I will really have to study to get it all to sink in a bit more.
The afternoon was spent travelling back to Florence and having a wander around. I spent the evening with my flatmate, Florentine. We met her Father for drinks as he was visiting and I was really looking forward to a lay in at the weekend!
